Artist Teri Muse creates mixed media paintings full of various textures, asemic lines and rich colors.
Maps, text from old books, fabrics, wallpapers, and postage stamps are some of the items collaged into the works as the artist paints and draws with acrylics, inks, and other mark making materials. 
Multiple layers are applied in an intuitive process as Muse reacts to each layer, pushing the painting into new directions and taking risks. 

Sometimes bold and sometimes graceful, lines are an important part of the artworks.  The artist likes the contrast of the cursive, asemic lines that are suggestive of written communication, while also having such inherent power and energy of their own.

Muse creates paintings for your eyes to explore; to float across, to retrace, to zoom in, to step back, to enter and enjoy.
